Scheepjes – CAL Festival of Lights – Yarn Kit

An ode to global light festivals and natural spectacles around the world, the Festival of Lights CAL designed by Scheepjes Designer Collective member Jessica Wifall is Scheepjes’ official Autumn/Winter Crochet-A-Long for 2024.

As each motif is made, immerse yourself in vibrant hues inspired by the world’s most mesmerising light and colour displays – hot air balloons, Northern Lights, fireworks and light trails. Made using GOTS-certified Organic Cotton yarn, this dazzling project will add a luminous touch to your home during the depths of winter darkness.

The CAL runs from October 16 to December 4, 2024. Join the Official Scheepjes Facebook Groups (international and Dutch) to take part in creating a crocheted motif-based blanket which incorporates a number of stitch techniques.

• Each square motif should measure 9 x 9 cm, before blocking
• The finished blanket should measure approximately 95 x 95 cm, when blocked

With this yarn kit, you will receive:

• 1 set of 3 postcards
• 1 special edition mug
• 26 balls of Scheepjes Organicon (100% Organic Cotton – each 50 g / 170 m – Fingering – Machine washable up to 40°C)

For this project you also need:

• a 3.0mm hook, which you can purchase separately.
• stitch markers, which you can purchase separately.
